Completion of the refurbishment works of the Cabildo for Interpretation Hall of the Monastery of Santa Catalina de Montefaro in Ares (A Coruña)
In the month of December the refurbishment works of the Cabildo of the Monastery of Santa Catalina de Montefaro were finished. This building will house the Interpretation Centrel of the complex, which will be known as "Cabido de Montefaro".
The basic and the execution project were carried out by our team for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Xunta de Galicia.
We hope that the result helps the visitor to better understand the history of the place and the evolution of the church from its Gothic origin to the military reform of the late nineteenth century - early twentieth century. Besides, the visitor will know some of the pieces that made up the old Romanesque portal.
