Coordination of the nomination dossier form for the application of Ribeira Sacra to UNESCO World Heritage list

A Ribeira Sacra is been included in the Indicative List of World Heritage since 1996; becoming the Spanish site that had spent more time in such list. After the recent declaration of Ribeira Sacra as good of cultural interest in the category of Cultural Landscape by the Xunta de Galicia, the next challenge is to achieve its recognition as World Heritage.

The preparation for the application to UNESCO, requires an exhaustive multidisciplinary work, in order to delimit and document the outstanding universal value of the property, its authenticity and its integrity.

In this context, on request of the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage, Crecente Asociados coordinated the development of the nomination dossier, according to the Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the Convention concerning the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
