As a result of the Touristic Dynamisation Plan we wrote for "Terras de Burón" in A Fonsagrada, the outlined proposals suggested the idea of making a documentary about the strong idea of the plan, "El Elogio de la Distancia" (A Praise to Distance), based on the description that Otero Pedrayo presents in his “Guía de Galicia” (Galicia Guide), transforming this distance now in an appealing reason for visitors willing to get lost, become isolated and enjoy that distance.
Producer Julio Fernández, native to the area, scriptwriter Julio Llamazares and director Felipe Vega, were asked to receive this idea with enthusiasm, endorsed by the interest of the Directorate General of Tourism, Xunta de Galicia, and the support and brilliance of Pepe Coira and his team.
Our role in the documentary was the original idea and we acted as associate producers.
