Description:

Between October and December 2015 Crecente Asociados developed the Master Plan for the Tourist Area Tierra de Celanova- Baixa Limia 2015-2018. It was designed as a tool for articulating the tourism policy through a global action strategy aligned with the demand tendencies.

The office and field works, as well as the organised participatory sessions for public and private actors, were the basis to define the goal of the Plan. The final aim is to foster the promotion and commercialisation of this Tourist Area, trough the creation of an offer of experiences, supported by a competitive brand image.

In order to guide the efforts to this final aim, the following objectives were fixed: To define the key tourist products that will be able to activate other products; To optimise existing products and services; Attract more and better tourists; and To transform visitors into tourists.

After the analysis, diagnosis and identification of challenges and remarkable resources, the Plan set 4 strategic lines:

1. Product creation.

2. Image and information material

3. Promotion and commercialisation.

4. Activation.

Each of these strategic lines has a set of proposals, with specific budget and schedule. The result is a compendium of 18 concrete actions to be developed between 2015 and 2018, as well as a series of recommendations for the management of the Plan.
