Presentation of the pilot project of the Thermal Atlas of Europe

On 19th October the European Historic Thermal Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA) celebrated its General Assembly in Salsomaggiore Terme. Mario Crecente presented the pilot project of the Thermal Atlas of Europe to the member spa towns´ delegates.

During his presentation Mario Crecente referred in particular to the abandoned thermal heritage of Europe, defined as "any building or complex of buildings traditionally used for medical purposes employing natural mineral waters for drinking, bathing or other kind of treatments". Crecente Asociados team has made an inventory of this kind of heritage in Spain and Chequia, classifying the resources in 4 categories: abandoned or ruins / disappeared / other uses / N/A.

Moreover during the General Assembly we knew the new of the acceptation of Ourense Province as “associated member” of EHTTA. From Crecente Asociados we want to congratulate the Thermal Province and wish success in this new phase.
