Ribeira Sacra Declaration on Water Cultural Landscapes
It has been just published the Ribeira Sacra Declaration on Water Cultural Landscapes. This text recognises the value of water as an element that structures landscapes and formulates a series of recommendations addressed to various concerned parties, including UNESCO, advisory bodies, FAO and governments and public administrations.
The Declaration was approved on the occasion of the International Meeting “Waterscapes –: bridging the past and the future”, organized by the Department of Culture, Education, Vocational Training, and Universities of the Xunta de Galicia and held in Ribeira Sacra on the 6th , 7th and 8th of November 2023.
The text of the declaration can be consulted and downloaded on the website waterscapesribeirasacra.com. Besides, this web includes also the program of the event held in Santo Estevo de Ribas de Sil in the month of November.
