Project "Acciones de Mejora del Camino Inglés"
The project "Acciones de Mejora del Camino Inglés" (Update Actions on the English Route) includes among its lines of work the "Restoration of deteriorated natural spaces and social awareness actions to promote a sustainable Way." A series of participation and diffusion meetings were held with the aim of involving associations and local technicians related to culture, environment and employment.
The identification of groups and agents to convene was possible thanks to the collaboration of the following organisations: Reserva de la Biosfera Mariñas Coruñesas e Terras do Mandeo, Euroeume, Asociación de Desarrollo Comarcal de Ordes (Asdecomor) and Costa Noroeste. Also, the Provincial Deputation of Ourense, sponsor of this project, supported the celebration of the sessions by lending a space in the Pazo de Mariñán.
The meetings held on 13th and 19th February, and 17th March, allowed spreading project targets among local agents, as well as to complete and validate the diagnosis, and identify synergies between the restoration of natural spaces and other existing lines of action in relation to the territory of the English route.
