In 2016, accordingly to the request of the Galician Directorate General of Cultural Heritage, Crecente Asociados developed the basic and execution project of adaptation works of the rectory of Saint Martin of Mondoñedo.
After the approval of the project, our team was also responsible of site management, developed between July 2017 and April 2018 by the construction company Abal. The purpose of the works was the conditioning of the building as the museum/interpretation centreof the Basilicia of Saint Martin, recognised as Asset of Cultural Interest in 1931.
Once the construction works, we directed the museography. In this phase we counted on the collaboration of Pepe Barro as museographer; Rey de Oros as historian and documentalist; and Sebastián Rodríguez as executor of the museography.
The result will serve to present the history of this temple, known as the "oldest Cathedral in Spain". It is one of the most remarkable medieval complexes in Galicia, in which history and legend are uniquely combined.
