Completion of restoring works in the Castle of Pambre

"...raises the Castle as a fierce and arrogant giant,

surrounded by energetic members and with his arrogance claims

that his figure stands out among the clouds. It is hard to wipe away

from your soul the sensation you feel when you contemplate from below,

from the bridge of Pambre, that mass that stands out against the blue

of the firmament, threatening, and simulating a knot but

solemn requirement... the most ancient Castle of those conserved

in our Galicia; the Castle into which the Irmandiños could not get their teeth

neither in the year 1431 nor in the year 1467, who, as we all now,

demolish all of the castles in our country." (Antonio López Ferreiro).

We are proud to announce the completion of the restoring works in the Castle of Pambre. It is a project that was created with the intention of recovering this historic fortress, making it accessible to the general public and incorporating it to the cultural and touristic offer of the region and of Galicia.

This work was addressed with great enthusiasm by all the team, boosted by the significant discoveries of the works, the archaeological excavations, and the face measurement.

A dream that today comes true and that we want to share with you with these pictures by Juan Rodríguez, the photographer that made the first report after the completion of the works. We invite you to visit his blog to discover more pictures and to read about his experience first-hand.
