GIFT. Future Proposal for Thermal Past in Europe

Subject: Thermalism and Patrimony in Europe

Sponsors: European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA)

Description: "GIFT": GIVE FUTURE TO THE PAST.

It is a strategic plan to outline the future of the past of the complex Thermal Heritage in the European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA), which also manages the cultural European Route of Historic Thermal Towns recognised by the European Council.

This proposal was presented at the annual meeting celebrated in Évian-les-Bains (France) in November 2011, by the Spanish city of Ourense, and was elaborated by Mario Crecente.

The goals included committing young people, developing an innovative strategy and spreading the concept of the historical thermal town all over the world. The plan development will include the EHTTA cities and regions that show interest in the proposals, with the creation of work groups, the participation of the EU programmes and the support and coordination of the city of Ourense.
