International Congress on Thermalism (Chaves)

On 14th and 15th of November the International Congress on Thermalism was held in Chaves (Portugal). It was organized by the Termas de Portugal Association, the Portuguese Society of Medical Hydrology and the local government of Chaves.

On November 14th, Mario Crecente moderated the roundtable “Development of thermal territories”, that counted on the participation of Nuno Vaz Ribeiro (local government of Chaves); José Juan Cerdeira Lois (Provincial Government of Ourense); Maria José Alves (Aquavalor- Centro de Valorizaçao e Transferência e Tecnologia da Água); Manuel Sarria (Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation) and Pedro Mouro (National Association of Portuguese Municipalities - section of spas-).

We share several pictures of the event, which had a high level of participation and attracted some of the best international specialists in economical development based in thermal resources from the points of view of research, environmental recovery, preservation of natural areas and valorisation of cultural heritage.
