Meeting at The Hispanic Society of America

In the 1920s, photographer Ruth Matilda Anderson undertook a research trip to Galicia at the request of the founder of The Hispanic Society of America, the philanthropist and Hispanist Archer Milton Huntington.

Her snapshots are today a documentary testimony of great value, which includes photographs that allow us to know how the vineyards, monuments and traditions of the Ribeira Sacra were like a century ago.

Mario Crecente visited the Hispanic Society at the beginning of October to know first hand the available collection. We share with you some of the images from that visit.
