Master Plan of the Hotel Pazo do Castro
Crecente Asociados has written the Master Plan of the Hotel Pazo do Castro. It starts from the acknowledgment of every heritage, cultural, natural and immaterial values, typical of this construction and its surroundings, and describes the actions needed to guarantee the harmonic balance between heritage valuation and its use as a hospitality establishment.
The Master Plan includes an archaeological report on the property and its core, a historical report on the origin of the building and its values, a landscape study of the Pazo and another study about its touristic uses. From this analysis work an architectural preliminary plan arises, which outlines arranging proposals for the complex based on a detailed study of the current state of the building, its property and surroundings.
The suggested proposal maps out an agreement framework between the valuation of the Pazo and its property, and the needs for a sustainable and quality hospitality use that favours the preservation and the maintenance of its heritage, as well as its diffusion and accessibility.
