Special Protection Plan for Cathedrals
The team formed by Crecente Associates, Gau Urbanism and Architecture, and the Institute of Agrarian Biodiversity and Rural Development (IBADER); has just submitted to the City of Ribadeo the document for initial approval of the Special Plan of Cathedrals, PE_1, developed within the general municipal urban planning plan, which aims to contribute to the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage of this protected area of unique scenic and natural value.
This document includes all the conclusions and feedback from the strategic environmental assessment to which it was submitted, as well as the requirements of the reports requested, from several organisms that where involved; in accordance with the Articles 185 and 186 of the Regulation for the Galician Soil Law.
In the following weeks, the Special Plan will be submitted to the Municipal Plenary for its initial approval. Once this approval is made, an appropriate period of public consultation will begin along with the request for mandatory sector reports, which will lead the Plan to provisional approval. Subsequently, after being sent to the competent institution charged of urban planning at Xunta de Galicia; the final approval will be granted by the City of Ribadeo.
