Technical assistance to the Secretary of State for Tourism in the management of the "Eden Awards 2019" of the European Commission
At the request of the Spanish Secretary of State for Tourism, Crecente Asociados carried out the technical assistance to the Subdirectorate General for Tourism Cooperation and Competitiveness in the management of the IX edition of the Eden Awards 2019 (European Destinations of Excellence), which has as its central theme "Health and Wellness Tourism".
In November, Crecente Asociados analyzed all the documentation submitted by the candidates, making technical visits to the semi-finalist destinations and preparing a final report with the proposed recommendation of the winning destination, for analysis by the Evaluation Committee.
The winning destination was the region of Valle del Ambroz, in Cáceres (Extremadura) formed by the municipalities of Abadía, Aldeanueva del Camino, Baños de Montemayor, Casas del Monte, La Garganta, Gargantilla, Hervás and Segura de Toro.
