Tourism Sustainability Plan of Ribeira Sacra
Under the direction and coordination of Juana de Vega Foundation, Crecente Asociados developed the proposal which the Ribeira Sacra Tourism Consortium presented to the Program of Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destinations of the Secretary of State for Tourism (SETUR). Based on the results of participatory meetings and the specific tourism research developed, the proposal was structured into several actions that aligned with the Nomination for the World Heritage List, aim to ensure the environmental, economic and social sustainability, during the process of consolidating Ribeira Sacra as a tourist destination.
The call of the SETUR received 154 applications and Ribeira Sacra was finally one of the 25 selected proposals. The Tourism Sustainability Plan of Ribeira Sacra will be developed in 3 years, through the co-financing of the State, the Xunta de Galicia and the Ribeira Sacra Tourism Consortium.
Its development will allow to carry out actions related to the creation of new products, the signaling of resources, the improvement of the mobility, the improvement of historic centers, the application of new-technologies, the management of the public use or the sustainable promotion, among others.
