On July 11 and 12, the UIMP summer course “Design and management of religious tourism destinations” will be held in Santander, a very specific and sensitive product that requires special care when designing destinations and strategies.

In the setting of the Magdalena Palace, the cases of Caravaca de la Cruz, the Sagrada Familia, the Camino de Santiago and, of course, the Camino Lebaniego, which the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Government of Cantabria intends to promote as a reference for religious tourism. All this together with specific sessions aimed at studying the impact of this type of tourism in social and economic terms or to delve deeper into the history of pilgrimages.
