Technical sessions of the Alliance of Cultural Landscapes and Related Heritage Sites of the World

On October 5 and 6, 2023, the autumn technical sessions of the Alliance of Cultural Landscapes and Related Heritage Sites of the World were held in A Coruña. Under the theme "Landscapes and Sites: Participate to Coexist," this meeting aimed to reflect on the involvement of institutions, communities, and local associations in the protection, safeguarding, and dissemination of the values of World Heritage.

Among the participants were representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Sports, ICOMOS, the Spanish Presidency of the Council of Europe, CISPAC, the UDC through the Tourist Observatory, and local associations.

 

Mario Crecente presented "Rethinking the candidacy of Ribeira Sacra for the World Heritage List," referring to the role of the local population in the candidacy process of this cultural landscape and the results achieved to date. The video of his presentation is available at this link.
