Roof of the kitchen in the Monastery of Montefaro
We have recently installed the new roof structure of the kitchen in the Monastery of Santa Catalina de Montefaro. The work, promoted by the city council of Ares and financed with funds from the Deputation of A Coruña, rehabilitates the volume of the old kitchen, renovated by the military at the end of the nineteenth century.
Thanks to the laser scanner stakeout and the use of numerical control cutting machines by Maderas Besteiro, the laminated wood structure adapts perfectly to the deviations of the building and the construction company, Obras Gallaecia, has been able to assemble it exactly in its final position.
We thank the Adolfo’s professionalism, Maderas Besteiro and his team, for the dedication with this small rehabilitation in dimension but large to put this Monastery in Ares into use.
